Ireland in 1932: After years in exile in America, Jimmy Gralton returns to his home village. There, in the midst of the rugged Irish landscape, he had once opened a simple dance hall. The 'Pearse-Connolly Hall' was a place of free development and inspiration, a place to dream and of course to dance. When Jimmy returns after more than 10 years, his dance hall is also awakened to new life and with it the hopes of a new, young generation. JIMMY’S HALL indulges in the exuberant mood of the young free spirits and celebrates their courage to defend their ideals against the arch-conservative church.
