Binti is a bundle of temperament who takes hearts by storm. She is twelve years old, self-confident and full of drive when it comes to her biggest dream: she wants to become a famous video blogger. "Welcome to my channel!" she calls out euphorically to her followers and is proud of already having more than a thousand subscribers. When her mobile rings in the middle of a blog recording and her father calls, she coolly pushes him away and explains: "Sorry, that was my manager." It could go on like this on Binti's path to vlog stardom, but there's a catch: Binti's father comes from the Congo and is hiding in Belgium with his daughter without valid papers. With a lot of imagination, Binti has set up the little dream studio for her channel in her little corner in a dormitory, and her social media channel is the only proof that she really "exists". A life in illegality, burdened by the constant fear of deportation: how can one build an identity as an Instagram star? That's where Elias comes in handy, who is committed to okapis, lives alone with his mother and has a tree house....
