Susanne, Markus and "Sulle" Sulawski all belonged to the same clique in the working-class district of Wedding when they were sixteen. They haven't seen each other for years and now meet again by chance in their old hideout, a warehouse near the Berlin Wall. They have all run away from their shattered life dreams, but at first they don't want to admit their failure to themselves and the others: Susanne works as a saleswoman and is a mother. Her marriage, however, is on the brink of breaking up because her husband beats her. The reserved Markus is a policeman. In a car chase, he shoots a man. The incident weighs on him and he questions his profession. Sulawski also looks at the shards of his life. He is a warehouse worker, has just been dumped by his girlfriend and can't get out of debt. At first they pretend to be satisfied with their lives, but little by little their lies are exposed and they are faced with the ruins of their lives as they wander through Wedding together. They admit their secret infatuations, problems at work and personal defeats. Nevertheless, a good ending for the three childhood friends is not out of the question.
