In a distant Kurdish mountain village in eastern Turkey, old Berfe and her granddaughter Jiyan run into trouble when their son and father Temo, the only male member of the household, is arrested by the Turkish military along with all the other younger men in the village. The commanding Turkish officer had information that weapons were hidden in every house in the village. Each prisoner is released as soon as the relatives have a sympathy and hand over the hidden weapons. But the problem is that there are no hidden weapons at all! Every family is looking for a solution and some of them are doing their own business with the unknowing. Berfe and Jiyan, in their desperation, also set out to find a weapon to free Timo from the hands of the military. The search for this weapon becomes the story of an old Kurdish fairy tale: To the story of the fox...
