Fifteen-year-old Adele (Maria-Victoria Dragus) wants to die. Since the death of her brother, everything around her feels strange and distant. All that remains is a deep sadness in a dreary life characterized by hard work. Timo (Roeland Wiesnekker) is on the run. Convicted of murder and imprisoned eight years ago, he recently managed to break out of prison. Injured and exhausted, he seeks refuge on Adele's parents' farm. When Adele discovers the fugitive, she offers him a deal: She will help him escape. But in return, Timo must kill her as soon as he is safe. Out of necessity, Timo agrees to the morbid pact. Suspicion and mistrust characterize the journey that will take them both to Marseille. The boundaries between perpetrator and victim become blurred. The brittle Timo can hardly bear to be near the girl, while Adele in turn constantly reminds him of his dark obligation. However, the more difficult the circumstances become, the more the odd couple must trust and rely on each other in order to achieve their disparate goals. BY EMILY ATEF (3 DAYS IN QUIBERON).
