Siberia, of all places! - Matthias Bleuel, pedantic logistician for the Fengler fashion mail order company in Leverkusen, has been living alone in his stuffy row house since his divorce from his wife Ilka. That's when his Russia-sentimental boss, Fengler, orders him to travel to one of the company's tiny sales outlets in southern Siberia. Just what Bleuel needed! Armed with a thick down coat, pepper spray and disinfectant, Bleuel awaits ice, snow and danger. When his connecting flight in Novosibirsk is canceled without explanation, Bleuel is already at a loss and completely overwhelmed by the foreign culture and language. Fortunately, his old school friend Holger helps him out. When he arrives at his destination, nothing is as expected. And it is not only the young interpreter Artjom who quickly makes him understand that the clocks in Kemerovo tick differently. Bleuel realizes just how much when he falls in love at first sight with the Shorian singer Sajana at a concert. Her voice touches him in his innermost being, waking him up as if from a deep sleep. Bleuel decides to travel after Sajana to her remote home village. What started as a business trip becomes the greatest adventure Bleuel has experienced so far...
