The Queen of Hearts

Romance/Comedy, Spain/France 2009

French film by the talented director of "Declaration of War", Valérie Donzelli. In the midst of her heart-wrenching breakup, Adele, a woman in her thirties, is left utterly shattered. With no close ties to friends or family, her distant cousin Rachel, despite initial reluctance, opens her home to Adele and extends a helping hand to mend both her personal and professional life. Rachel secures Adele a job and suggests that she explore new connections as a means of healing her wounded heart. Adele embarks on a journey through a series of passionate affairs, desperately seeking solace in the arms of various men, all while haunted by the lingering memory of her former love. Just when all hope seems lost, Adele crosses paths with a man who might just hold the key to healing her fractured heart.
