Ulja (12) lives in a small German town, is intelligent, a little headstrong and has a great enthusiasm for science. She has discovered a small asteroid that will fall to earth in a few days. However, her thirst for knowledge regularly drives her strictly religious grandmother Olga up the wall, until one day she bans everything to do with science from Ulya's life. Because Ulja now has no way of pursuing the asteroid any further, she hires Henk - a boy from her class - to drive her to Belarus. Together they set off on a journey across Poland to see the impact for themselves. Hot on their heels: Grandma Olga and the rest of the family, the pastor and half the congregation.
