Minik

Society/History, Germany 2006

In 1897 Arctic explorer Robert Peary brought eskimos from Greenland to New York, on behalf of the curator of the American Museum of Natural History - a sensation. But only little Minik survives the carryover. The documentary follows the fate of Minik and at the same time deals with the problems of nineteenth-century anthropology.
