The charming silent film accompanies two young ladies on their summer vacation, interstitial panels inform about the places visited as well as their experiences. The journey begins with a stroll through Stralsund, where they admire the sights of the old Hanseatic city. Afterwards they continue by ferry to Rügen, where a walk through the castle park of Putbus, a visit to the Saßnitz harbor and a hike along the coast of Stubbenkammer follow. The two ladies spend their beach days in Binz. The leisure activities are not so different from those of today: swimming, ball and card games, lazing around and the odd "silly". Even the "spa life" with music and dance is not neglected. The film was made between July and August 1928 and conveys the vacation life of the 1920s in a charming and entertaining way.
