Tony is almost 10 years old. For his upcoming birthday, he really only wants two things: to finally conquer "The Beast", a crane from his father's company that is difficult to steer. Tony inherited his father's passion for cranes, the bigger the better. But what Tony wants almost more is for his parents to get back together and be as happily in love as they were at the beginning of their relationship. But everything has changed since his dad became a minister. Since then he has hardly any time for the family, his parents argue more and more often, his father sometimes stays out all night and finally moves out altogether. He has a new girlfriend. But Wanda, as the new girl is called, has no crane blood and is also a thorn in Tony's side in other respects. For unlike his mother, who is a little too caring but otherwise a kind and calm person who runs her little china shop with heart and soul, the new girl is a calculating evil stepmother to the core. Soon Tony is sure that he will leave no stone unturned to get his parents back together by his birthday....
