Midnight. The temperature is 10 degrees Celsius. Constanze Klatt, an architect from Thuringia, lives with her Palestinian husband in an Arab quarter of Jerusalem. She tells of a nightmare: It is summer, and as hot as it gets in Israel in the summer. But suddenly the water supply is cut off. The water reserves quickly run out. Everyone is thirsty. And very afraid. At the midnight hour, the last trains of the city's only streetcar line set off. It runs from the southwest through Jerusalem, across Jaffa Street and the market, then northeast. To the left and right are cafes and bars. Here, the night has just begun. A graffiti artist roams the city, looking for a suitable spot for a new work. The rapper Muhammad Mughrabi lives in the Shuafat refugee camp. Together with friends, he dines on the street after midnight, despite chilly temperatures, wearing short sleeves. Later, he wants to go to the recording studio for a rap session.
