Anna has just finished her probationary period with the criminal police when she is sent to Utterslev Mose, where a dead man has been found. The man is wearing a false badge and turns out to be the former police officer, Varberg, dismissed 10 years ago. He lived for his job - so much so that it got out of hand. Kim and Karim are sent to the lake to talk to people in the area. When they see a man standing inside the cordon, they approach him, but he assaults them and during his escape he smashes a window into the head of Kim, who has to pass by the emergency room. There he meets Kim's sister, a nurse, whom Kim quickly develops a very good eye for. While Daniel is proposing to Anna, Martin has had an operation in Germany and is now well. He has therefore had a job interview with Eva - he is to be Anna's new colleague. Ole turns out to have a knowledge of Varberg. It was he who made the report that got him fired. He also knows the man who attacked Kim and Karim. Another ex-cop who leads the detectives to a caravan. Anna and Eva find blood and a bullet hole. Outside, Kim and Karim find a burnt baby bra. A lingerie shop recognises Varberg, who had fooled them into thinking he was an employee of the police shoplifting unit. Every time they caught an underage shoplifter, he came to pick them up, but Anna finds out he was abusing them. Anna seeks out the girls to find out what they have been through. When she rings the doorbell of one of them, only her father, a major, is home. He invites her in, but suddenly pulls out a gun and confesses that he killed Varberg when he discovered what he was up to.
