Annette Focks, film composer

She creates grandiose film scores and ennobles German film with them

Annette Focks is one of the most important film composers in contemporary German filmmaking. She has contributed her distinctive, sensitive and melodious music to more than 150 (!) films to date, sometimes in concert with a sonorous sound, sometimes appropriately reduced in instrumentation, but always with her incomparable, empathetic sound language. Annette Focks has composed music for both cinema and television films, for series, children's films and documentaries. She has been equally successful in writing chamber music and arrangements for orchestra for the concert hall, working with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the German Philharmonic Orchestra Berlin, the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.
